We have all been to an event where as everyone is leaving you see all the trash and waste left behind. The scary thing is that event likely produced much more than what was visible to you as an attendee. Bringing people together is an amazing thing, but providing them everything they need to ensure they are comfortable and informed by using traditional methods can be quite wasteful. The good news is that it doesn’t have to be! As we celebrate Earth Day we decided that this was a great opportunity to offer up some innovative ways to make your next event a green event.
There are a number of standard event needs that you as a planner, or host, simply can’t get away from. Depending on the age and tech savviness of your attendee demographic you may or may not be able to rethink all of the areas below, but we challenge you to consider them and how you can help impact the health of this beautiful planet by taking action!
Of course there is this and much more you could and should consider at your next event. The most valuable would be to find a local recycling partner that can provide you with Recycling bins and recycled disposable products as needed. A great local company to work with if you’re in Alaska would be Alaska Green Solutions.
